We're looking for a rough estimate of how many will be attending the 2017 CDSOA Annual General Membership Meeting in Mystic, CT on the weekend of Sept. 16th. Also let us know how you'll be getting there.

I would very much like to attend one of the annual meetings. Unfortunately, September is the high point for hurricanes in the Caribbean. I cannot in good faith commit to attending (buy air tix, motel reservations, etc.) when I may well have to cancel because of a "wind event" in September in South Florida.

I shall look forward, as I do each year, to detailed reports and comments on this board documenting the events at the meeting.

I'd like to attend sometime, too, but September is right in the heart of one of the desirable "shoulder seasons" in the Chesapeake when the the sweltering heat breaks and the breeze picks up. How about February, when sitting around and swapping yarns with kindred spirits would be a respite from winter? Jim.

The meeting is in September during the sailing season so that folks can do just that -- sail to the meeting.
