I went Saturday half expecting to be disappointed in the new venue. Turned out better than expected. The old location on the waterfront had more character befitting the type of show it is but it was kind of comfortable walking on the turf. A lot of the vendors I talked like it also. Also nice to have a bar and restaurant adjacent to the exhibit space. I imagine that this space was a little better logistically for moving boats in and around. Free parking was nice and the shuttles ran pretty often.

It's good to hear the new venue wasn't disappointing. I too was concerned, but that's not the reason I missed it this year. My daughter was home from spring break. I can't figure why a 20-year old college kid wouldn't want to go the show with her Dad!

The shuttle bus was a real plus. It was a great way to meet people. Do you build boats?, No , I own a Cape Dory....Oh....Wow, Nice. Yeah, I like her. And on and on. There is nothing like Maine. It is all about the boat people that makes the difference in Maine.
