1984 Cape Dory 25D For Sale ( Project)

Post by Owen D'Andrea »

Fresh water boat that is currently lift kept in Florida.
She has an excellent sail inventory, self tailing winches,
Dodger with stainless tubing, Origo stove, Auto Pilot,
Garmin GPS/ Chart plotter. The bottom is smooth & never had a blister.
The gelcoat is original & shiny & the interior beautiful.
The rudder requires rebuilding (Est. from Foss Foam $1,000 )
the engine is out of the boat , vey low hours no rust (Est $1200-1400 for repair).

Pictures available upon request. We are moving off the water, for people
who know these boats it is quite a bargain at $ 5,000. This boat is easily as nice as those selling
in the $14,000 -$18,000 range. We have owned a lot of nice sailboats, including three Cape Dory's
& this one is easily the nicest of the group. If you know these boats & have a little ability , you
will recognize that this quite bargain and will really enjoy her.

Has this CD25D sold yet? Where is it located? I'm in touch with someone in search of a CD25D and would be happy to put him in touch with you if the boat is still available... If so, is it hauled out or still floating? Is there a trailer - I can help out in that dept. if not... Good luck!

I am pleased to report that S/V Mickaleen has found a new home. She is currently on the hard in Nebraska getting ready for new adventures and I am a proud Cape Dory owner. Thanks to Mike for his stewardship of this vessel and easy transfer to me. I shall endeavor to pass her on in even better condition when my turn is up.
