I am not aware of anyone celebrating St. Joseph's Day in Miami. Joseph is my middle name so I will offer a celebratory drink on 19 March. Nonna had the best recipe for fig cookies. I was always given 2-3 right when they came out of the oven. THE BEST
It is my understanding that if you are married to an Italian you are entitled to claim "Italian by Marriage" and celebrate as Italian. If I may say, as I am sure you know, you are a very fortunate man to be married to an Italian lady. You're a paisano 
I have fond memories of Columbus Day in my hometown - a large Italian population. One of these days I'm going to start a petition drive for "Italian History Month". October would be a good month for that.
Efforts continue on projects listed for S/V Bali Ha'i. A few personal issues have caused minor delays. This board has been outstanding in offering suggestions and recommendations for so many of my projects. For me, this board is one of the strongest selling points for anyone who is thinking about investing in a Cape Dory sailboat.
