I am trying to get a wet slip and I need the exact length of my cape dory 28.

I wonder if anyone knows the length of the cape dory 28 INCLUDING the bow sprite ?

The bowsprit is just under a foot, if I remember correctly. A 30' slip should work fine, although a 36' makes it really nice so you don't protrude into the fairway at all.

Wet slip can only take 28 feet WITH bow sprite.

I guess there is no way a cape dory 28 is 28 feet with bow sprite ?

Per the CD 28 specifications in the owners manual the LOA (with bowsprit) is 29' 6 3/4".

Does bow in vs. bow out make a difference? If the bowsprit can overhang the dock a bit, you'll fit just fine.
