It's not in the sump and it's not directly below the sump.
It looks like there's a drain line under the sump that runs off into the bowels of the boat but I can't see where it goes.
Where is the gray water pump on a CD31physically located?

Don't know if they are all the same but mine is a Jabsco Water Puppy mounted on the starboard engine compartment bulkhead.Capt Hook wrote:It's not in the sump and it's not directly below the sump.

Mine is under the sink in the head, though I think mine might have been moved when she was re-powered with the Yanmar 30 by the PO... I guess they're not all the same!!

Mine appears to be mounted where Jim's is on the starboard engine compartment bulkhead. Thanks for the help.

Re: Where is the gray water pump on a CD31physically located
On Yankee, gray water flows to a sump - standard, I assume. A manual switch actuates a pump located in the starboard cockpit locker to pump the sump overboard. In the event nobody thinks to check the sump, it has a simple overflow into the bilge. So far, so good, though I'd prefer a direct drain from the head sink to avoid toothpaste in the bilge altogether!
