Disclaimer I don't own a 25

According to the owners manual http://www.capedory.org/manuals/CD25-1978-Manual.pdf the mast is 26'4" long

According to the Rigrite web page http://www.rigrite.com/Spars/Spartan_Sp ... _mast.html it uses a CD-3 extrusion that weighs 1.49 lbs/ft.

So the weight without hardware is about 40lbs.

Yes, but . . .

my (ex) wife has a scar right between her eyes from a botched attempt to insert the hinge pin. It's harder than you think. Once the hinge pin is in place, the raising part is fairly easy. Ever since this episode, I have used the yard crane to raise the mast. A lot can go wrong, and to me, it's not worth hurting the ones we love to save a few bucks. Be safe and think through every step of the process before acting.
