You sent me a PM to a very old CDSOA email address. Not even sure how I got it. I am not sure if the PM is legitimate or some computer scam (fishing, etc.).
To answer your question (assuming it is from a legitimate source), no you do not need to winterize in Florida. Even in the northern regions of Florida temps do not get that cold. Also no snow, except for February 1977 in Miami (1 inch; lasted 2 hours).

Re: Winterization in Florida
Living in the Northwest Panhandle, I can confirm not needing to winterize here.
However, I can say that one January or February a bunch of years ago, Toni & I broke ice leaving the marina for a frost bite race...

Mike:
You may be thinking of January 1977. If it snowed in Miami I am guessing Pensacola area got "a bit nippy" as well. For those who doubt it actually snowed in Miami I attach a Miami Herald front page. Sadly, or fortunately , I was on an extended TDY and "missed" the action that day.

Nope, that'd been 3 wives ago and I was in Jacksonville. 2003~2004 would be more like it. Plus we're in Niceville, not Pensacola.Sea Hunt Video wrote:Mike:
