Hull #1631 San Angelo -- Built 1979. I am third owner. Boat originally owned by someone in South Carolina, and trucked up here to Conn. in mid 1990s to the person I bought it from. I have owned since late 2008. If you're on this board then you're probably already acquainted with dimensions, lore of the Typhoon, so here's the important stuff: new standing rigging 2013; bronze Hayn turnbuckles; new Rolly Tasker jib/main 2013, in tanbark, main has one set of reef points, no roller furling, no boom vang. Have blue Sunbrella sail bag for on deck storage of jib, had zipper removed and replaced with twist snaps, also had original hanks on new jib replaced with bronze trigger snap hanks, so now they stay on the forestay when the jib is hoisted. These two things done last month. Red sail cover (original?). Also have original main and jib and lightly used 135 Genoa...made by Trump, not The Donald, don't think they're around anymore, but this jib is almost like new. I've only used twice. Halyards about six years old. Has lazy jacks. Has Stayset topping lift. Tiller Clutch added last month. All teak done with natural varnish nearly every year I've owned the boat, no Cetol! Teak renewed this spring. Never- used Sunbrella cabin cushion covers, they need the foam. The original stuff disintegrated! All original bronze fittings: winches, stands, cleats, outboard mount in place. No portaypotty, but I can give you the kitty litter bucket I use. Two whisker poles available. No electronics, but does have bulkhead compass and clinometer. Danforth anchor and never-used 150 Ft. roll of 3/8 inch braided anchor line with chain. Beautiful ash 8 Ft. boat hook with bronze tip. Two full-length cockpit cushions. Two never-used ski-jacket type PFDs. New handheld flares, flare gun, distress flag, charts. I installed a deck mounted solar vent, and had a teak louver cut into one of the dropboards for ventilation. 1994 Johnson Sailmaster 8 HP OB, a 2-stroke, runs well
Shaft coated with white Alumaspray this spring. 3-gallon fuel tank, also have a couple of extra one-gallon tanks. Newer Beckson manual bilge pump. Lots of extra line, cotter pins, and other tack, previous set of rigging and turnbuckles will go with it. Two coats of Blue Water anti-fouling Spring 2016. Also have lots of cleaners, polish, wax, varnish, bottom paint.
Also: A 1980-ish Wesco single-axle float off trailer with 6-ft extendable tongue. So when the tide's out you can still get the boat on and off the trailer! This is a nice feature. Have replaced the dolly wheel and the coupler. Have a new set of lights I never installed. No brakes, they rusted out. Don't really need them unless you trailer the boat through the Ozarks. New tires and rims Spring 2016. Having a trailer and a mooring made this boat inexpensive to own. Trailer must go with the boat.
Also:A 1982 Seahawk 8 Ft. fiberglass dinghy and wooden oars I bought last year and spiffed up with white Bilgecoat, new black 3-strand rub rail and gray bottom paint. Also have a brand new set of Garelick dolly wheels for the transom. I will include this with the Cape Dory and the trailer.
(I also have a 2011 8-ft Zodiac Zoom roll-up inflatable that's for sale. I bought it new. They sell for around $600-$700.
I'm asking $375 I used it for five seasons. No leaks, no punctures, is complete with oars, seat, storage bag and repair kit. Also included in the price is a 3HP air-cooled Tanaka outboard.)
The boat is currently on a mooring off the Connecticut River. Trailer is in my backyard about 20 minutes from the mooring. The inflatable is in my garage.
If you're seriously interested, please contact me with a PM through the board. I have some pix I can send. Boat is also on Craig's List for Eastern Connecticut with a picture.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim:
I am another guy from Maryland interested in your boat and trailer. (Do not need a dinghy.)
Would you deliver by trailer?
Has the boat been surveyed (especially as regards deck core problems)?
Thanks.

Jim:
Congratulations on your sale.
On a related thread I provided "legal services" to you concerning the "Certificate of Origin" in Maryland. I assume this allowed you to timely sell your Cape Dory.
Please make your check for legal services rendered payable to "Cheatem, Bleedem & Billem" c/o of The Holiday Inn in Fredericksburg, Maryland.
