I am looking to install a boom gallows on the cabin top of my CD30. has anyone else done this?

Its on my project list. I acquired a pair of ABI bronze upper gallows fittings, and will cast a pair of bases to match the cabintop. I wanted to use silicon bronze pipe for the uprights but the are not available, so I will likely use red brass pipe, unthreaded.

I am gonna use a piece of 6/4 burmese teak for the cross piece, and line the holes in the traditional way with chrome tanned elkhide.

But this is next winter's project.... This winter is already full.
