We want to have a bimini made for our CD31. I would appreciate seeing any photos of biminis on CD 30s, 31s and 32s. Thanks in advance.
Also, there's this. Our sail covers and dodger are navy blue. Although I would prefer that all the canvas match, I am afraid that it will be too hot to stand (steering) for hours with just a few inches between the top of my head and a navy-colored bimini. When it's hot and I find a little shade under our dodger, my experience is that on the sunny side of the boat, there's a lot of heat radiating from the fabric. Since we have only had this one dodger, I have nothing else to compare it to.
Do you folks that have biminis think that going with a light neutral tone (which is how I am currently leaning) will make enough difference to stray from the navy? Do you folks with dark biminis wish you had something light-toned (in regards to heat)?

I selected Sunbrella Ocean Blue as the color for my Bimini. That matched the color of the mainsail cover and sun protector on the Genoa that I selected.
As you know, I live in South Florida. Over the past 3 years I have not found the Ocean Blue color to be "hot". Of course, as you may recall, I raised the boom about 11"-12" so that I would have standing head room in the cockpit under the Bimini. This allows for breeze to move all around and above my head even when standing.
I do not have any experience with any other Bimini color. Sorry.

As a "sunny Florida" sailor, I'd suggest going with Sunbrella Oyster. Not only to get a cooler reflection but bird poop doesn't look as bad either...
I also like it as the sacrificial on my head sail so I don't have a big, dark "L" showing from my port side...

I have been advised by sailmakers that the darker the Sunbrella, the longer it will last. We went with Marine Blue which is very dark, almost black, blue for our sail cover and sacrificial.
