Looks like a Wisconsin registration on the bow but the boat could ostensibly be anywhere.

The boat is in the water on Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, WI. This boat is the former "Lady Jane" owned by Peter Wallace out of Boston.

I knew that clock looked familiar :!:

For anyone interested in this Cape Dory 25D I spent several hours with Peter Wallace in September 2010 onboard S/V Lady Jane while berthed in Quincy, Ma. While she was then sort of "for sale" it was obvious Peter loved her too much to part with her then.

I looked at a lot of Cape Dory sailboats (including 6-7 or more CD 25Ds) during my long and tortured search for a Cape Dory. S/V Lady Jane was one of the most Bristol and perfect Cape Dory sailboats I looked at. Peter kept S/V Lady Jane in absolutely immaculate condition. Everything aboard worked and worked perfectly. She was an amazingly beautiful Cape Dory sailboat.

I cannot speak to her condition today (I have not seen her in 6 years) but when Peter cared for her she was Bristol.

I wish you well in your selling of S/V Lady Jane. Someone is going to be the lucky recipient of Peter's loving care.

I have not heard from Peter in some time. I am hopeful he is well. Once I acquired S/V Bali Ha'i Peter made a special effort to always check up on how I was doing and offered substantial advise and encouragement on a few projects I took on, including replacing the Genoa winches with Lewmar self-tailing winches. I have been fortunate to meet some very nice folks through Cape Dory sailboats. Peter Wallace is one of the very nicest men I ever met anywhere.
Fair winds,

Roberto

I am sorry to say that Peter Wallace passed away in 2015. When he sold the boat he had been diagnosed with cancer and it made sense for him to let it go but it was very difficult for him to part with it.

The trailer appears to be a Triad. Not sure what a Triton looks like. A very fine one in any event.

Yikes, I have no idea where Triton came from, and it was consistent throughout the ad. I changed it to TRIAD trailer. Thanks for pointing that out!

Congratulations.

I hope the new owner/caretaker is mindful of, and respectful of, the care and effort that Peter Wallace gave to his beloved S/V Lady Jane. No one loved their Cape Dory more than Peter Wallace loved S/V Lady Jane.
