Mast Gate 1977 CD 28

Post by Pembquist »

Is anyone familiar with this style Mast Gate? Do you know if it had a spring?. Any ideas to restore its functionality? I am currently using a hairpin clip but it doesn't seem like a great solution.

Mine use to have a cotter pin on a string that I would put into the hole...
Sounds about as high-tech as your hair pin...

Might be a Spartan SP-507 which you can see picture of at http://www.rigrite.com/Spars/Spartan_Sp ... _mast.html

You can see the Schaefer logo stamped on the fitting. If it's not in current production a call/email might get you some assistance.

That's the same gate that I have. It stays closed with a cotter pin.
