I am a big believer in not leaving any gas in a carburetor for more than a couple weeks, having had several problems with my Honda generators over the years. Here in Crystal River we have one gas station that supplies non alcohol gas to all the local boats on trailers, and those like me who use it in small engines and lawn mowers. The gas is only slightly more than regular gas and is the one of best things I can do for my little 3.5 hp motor for the inflatable dinghy. I also carry a 1 gal can in the dinghy.
