Just wandering if anyone has heard from S/V Kerry Deare (Armond Perretta), perhaps a status report. Haven't heard from him in some time and his blog appears to be dated! Just hoping he and Kerry Deare are well. Nice Chap. First met him in 1999 in Onset.

As many already suspect, it's often good NOT to hear from me, as I have by now perfected my nastiness and totally outrageous behavior to the point where I'm completely insufferable. More seriously, we have spent the last few seasons "nearby" in NJ and on the Chesapeake. This summer we are heading over to southern New England for a bit, just taking it easy and enjoying the ride. I also want to work out the kinks in the latest additions to the fleet, an old CD-10 that I restored over a period of 6 (six!) years, and a Dyer 8-footer that, after a complete refit and many modifications, is a real peach. Both were acquired at reasonable cost with full sail rigs and parts, although the CD 10 (my second copy) was really rough. I want my wife to get a chance at rowing a small boat, so we shall see.
A close look at the after part of the Dyer rub rail (where it secures to the transom) reveals a bit of Cape Dory arcana: some old CD curtain parts in the shape of Cape Dory hulls. Eat your hearts out, Dyer fanboys.
Hope to see some of you on the water, and never be shy when you see Kerry Deare. C'mon over.
