Gentlemen,
A marina where I was going to rent a slip for the coming season, has a clause in their contract requiring an automatic bilge pump in each boat.
How can I put an automatic bilge pump on a typhoon? Are there any pictures of this type of project on this board?
I d had no problem last season.
I use a manual pump now and don't have a problem. Cockpit water drains through the cockpit drains then drains through the hull ball valves which are frozen in an intermediate position, i.e. half open.
I'm assuming I need to install a battery and pump with a float to activate the pump if the water rises high enough? Are there any kits on the market to do this?
Comments and suggestions appreciated - Thanks in advance.

If you just want to conform to the rules it would be pretty simple.
A garden tractor battery, some wire, a fuse, a small bilge pump with a built in automatic switch and a long enough hose to dump the water over the side or into the cockpit.
There is really no reason for an electric bilge pump on a Ty Weekender, Steve.
