Directories are in the mail (sort of)

Post by Steve Kuhar »

The 2016 Directory has been printed and is being taken to the post office in batches. Pace is a small town, and the post office is a contract service run by two little old ladies out of the back room of an antique store. Each Directory has to be individually weighed, metered by zip code, and labeled with a routing slip and postage stamp. We drop off a batch in the morning and come back in the evening to write a check for the days work. Tomorrow we will bring them the final batch, and if it makes the mail truck, you should all get your Directories sometime next week. We could have simplified things by taking them to the main post office in Pensacola, where we would have been dealing with a highly efficient federal employee, but the ladies in Pace enjoy their work, like to see all the different addresses on the labels, and it gives them something to do.

We hope you like the Directory, and let us know what you think.

What's the story on Intrepid boats?

Tues. May 03, '16. Got my copy in the mail today. Kudos to Steve and to everyone else who contributed to the excellent job of making it available to us. Even to the little ladies who did their thing getting it to us.

Thanks to all for a job done well. :D

John travels with a great camera and lens easily accessible! And he knows how to use it! A good guy to sail near.
