You are looking out over Pensacola Pass and the "mound" you see is part of the Fort McRee ruins. Here's a chart to help. Although the chart calls it a spoils area it is actually a great anchorage with deep water right up to the shoreline.

Tim the Coasties suspended the search yesterday. They never said anything on the radio about the mother ship!

Authorities think they found the body yesterday & they caught some low life using his credit cards in Louisiana. Seems to be some foul play involved.

WOW they just closed the ICW due to search & rescue operations near Ft McRae. Missing swimmer.

They extradited the suspect back to Florida.

Suspect is Michael Paul Rodgers.

Deceased skipper is/was James Bradley Gunther.

I keep looking for more details on case but it's gone quiet.

This is the latest I've found.
