Clutch control button stuck pulled out
I need some advice and aid regarding the clutch engagement/disengagement pullout/push in control button for the engine on my 25D. Penetrating oil and patience has proven to be ineffective. I'm concerned about tapping it too hard. Any suggestions? The service manual for the Yanmar 1GM does not show how the Morse MV control is assembled. In the clutch housing diagram I can't make out how to engage/disengage the clutch. The oil in the clutch case only has a few hours of use to it. Thanks for any ideas, David

Never mind. A firm hammer tap got it to push in. Working back and forth a few times then got it working freely. Best lubricant for that control button?

I use WD40. I also apply WD40 to the gear assembly inside the port side locker. So far so good. Fingers crossed.David Patterson wrote:Never mind. A firm hammer tap got it to push in. Working back and forth a few times then got it working freely. Best lubricant for that control button?
