We did that run as part of an Annapolis-Portsmouth, NH trip in '13. Loved all of it, even the $150/night slip rental in Newport!

We've been staying at the Newport Shipyard the past few years for one night for annual service.
They contract with DePaul Diesel and I have them do all regular maintenance.

We get to hang with the big boys and enjoy the view cruising the docks, courtesy cars, showers etc, and they are so nice and professional.
We hang on an Old Port Mooring for anything more than that though and dinghy where we need to be in Newport.

This will be our 30th year of cruising from NJ to New England annually. Mostly Newport to Nantucket but every few years we do Maine and Nova Scotia.
