CDSOA Dues Information

Post by Steve Kuhar »

We will be sending out 2016 membership renewal statements next week. We would like to thank the 100 plus members who have already renewed. You have saved the Association a fair amount of time, postage costs, and effort. Membership cards and a special 20th Anniversary decal will be mailed to you in early February. The 2016 Member Directory will be mailed in May. The participating group number for BoatUS members remains the same, it will give you a 50% discount on your basic BoatUS dues, you can find the group number in a protected (CDSOA member only) article in the Masthead.

We still have about 200 of the 20th Anniversary decals available. You can't buy them, but you can get one as our gift to you by clicking on that big, flashing yellow banner at the top of this page, and sending in an early renewal.

We Thank you for your continued support.

Will those of us with multiple year memberships also be mailed the 20th anniversary decal?

Jim,

Most Certainly, the decals will be mailed with your membership cards in February. It would also be a good time for me to put in a plug for multi year memberships which saves you and the Association quite a bit of money.

Thanks,
Steve

Am very happy to continue my membership. Multiple times I've learned so much from fellow members about the Cape Dory design and history. The cost of membership is certainly warranted.

Done!

It's worth it just for the Directory... I keep mine on board, as it has contact information (e.g., cell phone!) on most of the Cape Dorys I encounter when cruising. What I've received in free drinks and snacks by reaching out more than covers the cost of my annual dues.

Sailor,

I am not able to identify you if you use a screen name (I think that is the purpose of using one), however CD270 hull # 2 is not currently listed in the CDSOA database. PayPal payments are being processed within twelve hours of receipt, and confirming e mails are being sent as they are processed. Mail in applications take longer, but we have processed everything that was mailed by 15 December. If you made your payment by PayPal you should have received confirmation by now. Send me a pm with identifying information and I will get an answer for you.

Good afternoon to all.

Just wanted to pass along a quick update on Renewal/New Membership Apps. I just returned from the Post Office with a hand full of Apps. I'll be heading for the boat tomorrow (Sat) for a couple of weeks (read I wont see any applications until probably February 1) and therefore won't be processing any.

All renewal/new apps (snail mailed to the Oklahoma contingent of the Membership Committee) have been processed (as of Jan 15th) and I have notified each of you via email. There are a couple of instances where you "MAY NOT" have been notified. IF you did not list an email on your App you didn't get one from me. In that case your App was sent to the Florida contingent and you should have received an email from Steve Kuhar. Steve has the database and can look up your email. Another reason for non-receipt would be spam filters or email accounts asking me to complete a form in order to email you.

Also I mailed Kuhar a bunch of Apps/Checks that was delivered to his Florida residence on Monday (Jan 11th) AND will be hand carrying 20-25 Apps to the Central Gulf Coast Fleet Meeting this coming Sunday.

As a reminder, the email you received states that we are all volunteers, and sailors, and as such may be out of contact for a while. As will be the case with me. Upon my return I'll process Apps and get the email notifications in "the mail".

Although Bill will be out of town for the next couple of weeks I will be back in town, so if you were just sitting down to write your renewal check you can send it directly to me, Steve Kuhar, 5824 Curtis Road, Pace, Fl. 32571. Or better yet, just click on that big yellow banner at the top of this page and renew online.

There are still about 50 of the 20th Anniversary decals that are unspoken for, so act promptly to be sure that you get one. Remember that this is a Directory year, and your dues must be current to be listed and to receive your free copy.
