By the way, reading about D-Day... although the Normandy invasion was delayed one day, to June 6th, due to weather, some ships had already departed in anticipation of a June 5th landing. OMG, the 1.0 megaphone was such an improvement over the 1.0 POSphone, aka a straight pipe. People were backgrading to just using cupped hands. Pure genius, I tell you.

Hi,

I have sucessfully used

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USR-WIFI232-602 ... SwPe1UBsYH

to interface nmea0183 ( which is essentially same as rs232) to wifi, and have all the data on my mobile device.

Interesting! Is anyone writing apps to display the data?

Hi

I use isailor app on my ipad. I am sure there will be others. There was a Navtech one.

That is able to display, charts, gps location, mmsi.
