I've started to look at re-building "Crouton's" centerboard, any suggestions welcome!
Appears to be made from half inch plywood.
25-1/4" x 11-1/4" at longest dimensions.
Any chance this is the same as a CD10?
So far I have removed layers of bottom paint, stripped the fiberglass mat off, and taken some photos.
Questions:
Is 1/2" marine plywood the best choice? The original does not appear to be anything special.
The pivot point is a bronze flat bar screwed to stainless clips, the bar has torn through one hole.
Should I fabricate another bronze part or go to stainless instead? Or is there a better way?
The lead "puck" is where most of the plywood has failed, it doesn't appear mechanically fastened at all, just relying on tight fit and the fiberglass mat/epoxy to hold this together, is that about right?
Pictures follow.

Re: CD Dink Centerboard re-build
I'd get some 1/2" two sides good MDO (Medium Density Overlay) plywood. It's used in the construction form and highway billboard industry. Incredible stuff with phenol surface finishes that don't crack, check or show the wood grain. I'd do away with the straps and use a stainless plate saddle screwed to the board on both sides with a hole drilled for the pivot pin. If you bevel both sides of the hole for the lead puck, then pour it flush, it will stay without any fiberglass or glue. If you're worried about abrasion, you can always apply some glass cloth to both sides and lap it over for double edge protection.
Just a suggestion.
