Teak cleaning - best product

Post by Steve »

What's the best teak cleaner for cleaning the teak on cape dory's that's the LEAST HARMFUL (non-acidic) to the surrounding deck and hull fiberglass and still gets the job done? I'd rather work a little harder or take a little longer to clean and spare the deck and hull the harsh chemicals of a strong cleaner. Appreciate any replys!

Just use 25% bleach, laundry soap, and water. Scrub with maroon scotch pads. Be sure to wear gloves! Works very well.

You might also try using Palmolive dishwashing gel and let it soak then rinse after brushing.
