old style Typhoon motor mount

Post by Steve Loomis »

I have a 1974 Typhoon with an old style motor mount. It looks like a
E on it's side with the 'tips' welded to a base plate.I don't have the motor section. I've seen the mount on other older Ty's. Does anyone have any info on it. It is not the type Spartan Marine sells.

I have the old style mount on my '70 Ty but I can't figure out what you mean by the motor section. Do you mean the actual entire bronze piece that the engine clamps onto? If so, I've heard talk that Bristol Bronze can make one. I'm sure they're not cheap though.
