Typhoon rudder packing?
Does the Typhoon Weekender have rudder packing? Last week while motoring from the winter storage marina to my summer slip I had water coming in the rudder shaft and settling in the area near the thru hull drain fittings for the cockpit drains. Thoughts?

I don't think there is any packing inside. If you can get in there you could pump in some waterproof grease. Maybe the boat was squatting at the stern more than normal? Usually it will come in through the cockpit drains.

My Ty had a packing sleeve. It turned out to be the same thing as a flanged truck seat bushing. I ordered a sample pack from a manufacturer (25 pieces) and sold them to people for the 4 or so years it took to dispose of the extras.
That was several decades ago.
Take some measurements, and google it. You may be lucky and just have to buy one.
Good luck
