Tiller Head

Post by gates_cliff »

I have some play between the rudder post head and the tiller head, in construction equipment it would be called "slap". It isn't much but I can feel it. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust it out. Just wondering if anyone else has seen or felt this and if there's anything that can be done.

Cliff,

Maybe check for excess play in keyway slots of both the post and the tiller head.Check for round edges of the Woodruff or straight bar key

Good luck,
