Northern captains,
Tomorrow officially begins the western Lake Superior sailing season – well for this captain anyway.
The Apostle Islands beckon with fresh airs, cold clear water and not too many other boats clogging up the anchorages. Hopefully Femme, with her new genoa bent on, will get to them even faster and with less heel than before. Even if not, the newly finished brightwork will help the journey.
Here's to fair winds and good friends all season.

Gorgeous picture, gorgeous boats. Our season will start this weekend on Long Island Sound, once I get my wife up to lube the masthead sheaves!

Ah, to have all that space! Here in Brooklyn, we've got gridlock!

No gridlock ever. Tons of space. The cold keeps the riff raff out.adamganz wrote:Ah, to have all that space! Here in Brooklyn, we've got gridlock!
