Wanted CD 14 sail

Post by Walter Hobbs »

Please sell me your CD 14 sail.
You must have one somewhere. Check the attic. garage, basement, sail locker of your big boat.
I'm refurbishing my CD 14 and need a sail. Save me from having to make one myself.

thanks,

Reef at the mooring and go anyway.

Another forum member recommended Jim @ Sailor's Choice in Amityville, NY.

He recently made one for me. Finishing up the restoration on my 14. Hope to splash late spring.

Thanks Dan, I'll check it out.

Tried to take the middle seat out today, in the snow, so I could strip and varnish it in the basement. It will not fit past the gunnels. Apparently the good people at CD installed the seat before installing the gunnels.
Any suggestions?

Also did you repaint interior blue and white like original? Mine has been painted green and I plan to go back to the original look.

I would think it could slide fore or aft but maybe the shape of the hull prevents that? I've been working on mine for a year and a half and I don't remember if I took the seat board out before or after i removed the rails. I had to do extensive fiberglass work in cutting out the rear seat to replace the rotted transom core. I had a local boat shop replace the woodwork.

The hull is painted Oyster White and the interior is a custom color that I mixed myself that I call Oyster Buff.
I'll try to post a picture.

Ready for wood sanding, varnish and rigging.
I'll go through my photos and post some to show the restoration process on the main message board.
