Re: Wheel to Tiller Conversion: Rudder Stops?
That is what we try to do with three aboard. One forward to port in the cockpit, blocking the view of the speedo and the depth gauge, and one forward on the starboard side, blocking the view of the compass.Neil Gordon wrote: Two of us is never a problem but the cockpit does get crowed if there are four. For me, it's not the tiller, it's being able to work the boat through a tack or jibe, i.e., having access to the sheets and winches. Mostly it's a matter of passenger management... if I can get the passive passengers forward in the cockpit, one on each side, that leaves two of us room to work and to switch sides based on the preference of the skipper.

Yes, exactly. On the other hand, having them under the dodger frame insures they bump their head on the dodger, instead of their heads getting kissed by the boom.tjr818 wrote:That is what we try to do with three aboard. my son paul attached his gopro to the end of the boat hook, which extends about 9.' he as a gopro clip which he attached with plastic ties. and he used a remote control for the camera to take the shots. the gopro has a wide angle which i don't always like but it does some fun stuff. notice my bald head! oh, well!
