This is a good, solid boat priced appropriately. Stock CD 25. She is in very good shape and comes with many extras including good inflatable with 5 hp Nissan outboard; newer 7 hp 4 stroke Tohatsu for boat; radio, 2 burner stove, grill, porta-potty, compass, depth gauge. Sails in good shape – main, jib and genoa. Roller furler, two anchors, compass, and depth sounder. Bottom painted summer of 2014.
Do not have pictures of interior, but interior is fine, although I was planning on re-oiling the wood which would bring it to life. Same for teak/holly sole. Cushions good with one small rip, Cape Dory plaid. Took water tank out last year and cleaned it thoroughly before reinstalling. Never used sink/faucet, but appears to be fine. She is shrink wrapped now, but can/will go aboard to take interior photos for interested party. Nothing to hide below.
This is a great day sailer and would be a fine weekender, though I never got the chance to do that. She was sailed last summer quite a bit and performed excellently. A very experienced transatlantic sailing British friend judged her to be, "A proper little ship. Sound." This is a great little boat that I sell reluctantly and only because I'm moving from the Maine coast.
Deck has 2 soft spots - one forward and one starboard side by chainplate. Told this is not uncommon for boat of her age and not to worry about it. Did so. Deck also has some small cracks that are also appropriate to her age. Same advice. That said, she was bone dry below through any and all weather. Brightwork needs refinishing. (Too busy sailing her to get to it.)

If I hadn't bought a Ty Senior two autumns ago, I definitely would be looking hard at this boat. Was it stored at a yard west of town out on Route 3 a couple falls ago, by chance? If so, I did look at her! Nice boat, but as I recall the price was much higher.
I'll mention it to anyone I know looking here in the area.

Thanks, Jim. She is a lovely little boat, no two ways about it. Simple, straightforward, reliable - a Cape Dory.Jim Walsh wrote:Nice CD25! Looks great, this should go fast.

Yes, she was (and is) stored at Belmont Boatworks - a good yard by the way - on Rt.3 outside of Belfast, ME. She was priced higher, I know because I paid it!!. Also, she had a funky looking area on the keel - weird discoloration - that I think may have put people off. But I had one of the senior fiberglass guys at Front Street Shipyard dig into it and he did a small repair to the forward part of the keel. He said it was a common repair and not remotely serious. She's looks fine with her new black bottom paint! I hate to let her go, but I'm moving and need to.Megunticook wrote:If I hadn't bought a Ty Senior two autumns ago, I definitely would be looking hard at this boat. PS: the old price made more sense when you found out about the extras. The Tohatso is nearly brand new and worth $1,500 +/-; the dingy and dingy motor are both in fine shape. So the price wasn't actually as high as it first appeared to all of us who looked at her.Elysium wrote:Yes, she was (and is) stored at Belmont Boatworks - a good yard by the way - on Rt.3 outside of Belfast, ME.
