Well here is a pic of how I'm mounting the panels. May need some bracing though!

The vertical tubing does look a bit overwhelmed by it's assigned task.
Do you have a picture of the panels from the back side? How many watts?

Also, is that your primary VHF antenna on the railing, a backup or does it serve some other purpose?

Bill,
I'd feel better if their was some type of cross bracing, something athwartship to keep that assembly from wracking. A 45 degree brace or even a small knee brac would help.
Sorry about our Cards, but they did come close.
