Need to replace the original, wondering if anyone knows of any for sale or where a good place to look would be.
I've been in touch with Rig-Rite and am waiting to hear back from them.
Thanks.

OK, I'll bite - What happened to your mast?
If your experience with Rig-Rite is similar to mine or others with whom I have spoken, you will have a long wait.

I was afraid someone would ask. . .unstepping went horribly wrong--fortunately the only thing hurt was the mast.Gary H wrote:OK, I'll bite - What happened to your mast?
The woman I spoke with on the phone didn't exactly exude warmth or friendliness, which is never a good sign for a business. She said she would call me back with pricing and availablity, hopefully I'll hear back today.Gary H wrote:If your experience with Rig-Rite is similar to mine or others with whom I have spoken, you will have a long wait.

Better options elsewhere? I was thinking I could reuse all the components except the mast stem itself.

Rig Rite does manage to stay in business which must mean that they provide service to come customers. Hopefully, it will be your turn.
This year, I purchased the following kit for mast raising and lowering on my 22-

It takes the stress out of physically stepping your mast. Worked well for me. Fortunately no one was hurt.

If all you need is the extrusion, then definitely try these guys: https://www.dwyermast.com/
They are very professional and should be able to help you out. All I ever bought from them was a CD-14 mast but I got a good look at their shop and it was impressive.
No one ever raves about Rig Rite service but I have never heard anyone complain about Dwyer, Steve.

Are the mast extrusions Rig-Rite is making good quality? Are the issues just around customer service? I must say their website looks like it was made back in 1998 (I'm a web developer so I notice these things). Definitely tells you (along with the manner of the person on the phone I dealt with) that they really don't give a whit about how they present themselves to their customers. What was your experience exactly? How long did you wait for your product?
The EZ-mast kit looks interesting. But what will my wife think when she asks me what I spent that $79 dollars on and I say "an Erection System."
I'll check with Dwyer also--looks like I can get the Extrusion alone for $900. I imagine the shipping is going to double that. Fortunately it looks like my insurance company is going to honor my policy.
Just curious, what's the service life of an aluminum mast? The original mast is going to be 30 next year, I noticed quite a bit of galvanic corrosion, especially down around the base, but it seemed pretty stout.
