Solution to underneath side deck access
We, like probably many others, found getting access on our CD28 to our side deck fittings from below (i.e. stanchion backing plates) very frustrating with the headliner so difficult to get behind. We think we've found a good solution: we cut away the headliner side lips and then covered the missing liner with Sunbrella installed with Sailrite snaps. It gives great access and we think looks really good too. What do you think?

I think you shed far less blood the next time you try to do anything in there, Steve.

I like it. Neat solution. Well done.

Thanks for a great idea. I've got a 28 also and have considered trimming the liner too but hadn't come up with a good solution to finish it off........ Until now. Your 28 is very nice from the pictures of the cabin. Not sure if you sold or still have her but you've done a nice job.
Smooth sailing
