How much paint is normally needed for one coat of ablative that will be applied over the same type paint?

1/2 a gallon I'd say. May vary depending on your paint though.

Tom I have no idea on thinning your particular paint. I don't thin mine. FYI we will be I trouble this should conversation should pry be in the main page or projects section of the forum.
