At bit of a RANT & a Need
GE All
I have been trying to purchase 1, read ONE, Raymarine ST-2000 part. That part is the little socket and the "stem" of the Autopilot sets in which is embedded in the cockpit locker lid. Raymarine only sells them in packs of 5, read FIVE. I get that, they sell to retailers.
Defender will only sell them as distributed by Raymarine. Now I have to ask, which one of you reading this thread would/could possibliy need or want 5 of those sockets. Defender refused to comprimise even though I have spent hundereds if not thousands of dollars on this re-fit. Go figure.
Anyway the 5 pack is $20 (I know but its the principal). So if any one has 1, read ONE, of those little buggers laying about the boat/house AND you are willing to part with it please name your price. The part # (Raymarine's) is D002.
TIA, Good nite and Fair Winds.

Bill,
I may have one of these but it's in my stuff in North Carolina and I'm in Washington (state). I'll be visiting back there in September and will look for this if you haven't yet found one.

On further reflection, get a 1/2 x 3/8 bronze bushing sleeve at Lowes or HD and epoxy that into a wood reinforcing block as needed.
$3... And you can pick one up tomorrow.

That said, I'll check LIQUIDITY tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I can find a free one for you.

Hi-
I believe I have one of those items and would be glad to give it to you. I'm currently using an ST1000 and I can check to see if it's the same.
Thanks
