Need mainsheet specs for Typhoon Daysailer
We, SailAnyWay.org, purchased a Typhoon Daysailer for our disabled sailing program (see http://www.SailAnyWay.org). We were preparing it for spring launch and realized there is no mainsheet assembly. The previous owner (donated) cannot find it either. We would like to stick with original specs as much as possible so if anyone has one they want to donate (we are a 501c3) or we would purchase it. If we can not find an original one is there anyone that could provide details, maybe photos, of original so we could build one. We tried zooming in on the posted brochure from 1977 but quality of photo doesn't do it justice. It also appears on that brochure that in one photo there are two blocks while in the other there is only one block.
Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Did you look in the manual? There might be a better drawing:

Thanks for the tip and the link to the manual. That did the trick. We will have no problem remaking a mainsheet.

Wow! A picture is truly worth a thousand words. There is no longer any doubt.
Thanks for doing that. We will have one made up today.

Jeff D - What did you use for the non slip deck finish? Is ir easy to clean? Good looking boat you have. I see that you use a boom stay.

John,
Everything but the interior is as supplied by Cape Dory - most of what you see in the picture is water - I am not clear if the factory non skid is molded in or applied with the finish. With a little effort it looks good for a couple of weeks following launch - after that I pretty much leave it alone other than hosing off what the Ospreys leave behind. I don't know what you mean by a boom stay.
