We have a CD 33, hull #37 and have no bronze hull # plaque. We'd love to have one made and $35 seems to be a reasonable price. Please keep us posted, Thanks! Leonard and Lucy

Please count me in as well. I would like to be informed on how to order. Would desire one for the boat and one to show off around the house. Thanks for your efforts.

Bristol Bronze has the hull plate from our CD32. Roger has been puttering around with it to see what the options are for creating the new ones. The main issue is that Cape Dory used raised lettering on the original plate which means that Bristol Bronze will either have to sculpt new plates with raised lettering, based on the font used on our hull plate, for each and every model of Cape Dory ever built. This means making a whole slew of molds -- at least one for each model. The other option is to grind down the model number and create a single mold which will be used for all models. If this is done, the model number, as well as the hull number, will be stamped or etched into the plate. It is my impression that Roger is a perfectionist and whatever he decides, the final product will be top quality. At any rate, his current estimate for a new bronze hull plate is approximately $35. I'll keep you posted.

Please count me in, also. CD-31, hull #004. Raised lettering would be nice but it may be too expensive to have raised lettering for each model of CD. Either way, I'd like at least one.

Everyone,

Here's the latest, since Friday (11/3), regarding the CD hull# plaques:

Bristol Bronze has completed the initial castings of the plaque from our CD32. They now have to be ground and polished. Roger is pleased with them thus far and believes we will be too. Hopefully we'll soon be able to show you what they'll look like.

He is also working on replacement ports for the CD Typhoon. The patterns have been completed and he has the first two finished castings. They still have to be machined and polished.

We still have to work out the price of the new plaques and how the ordering process will take place.

I'll continue to keep you posted regarding the hull plaques.

By the way, are any of you, who have plastic ports, willing to remove a port and send all of its pieces to Bristol Bronze for the creation of bronze replacements? This would be the time of year to do it -- while the boat's not being used and it's under wraps.

Any chance that you will be able to get a plaque for us powerboaters? Got a CD 28 power without a bronze plaque. Thanks John
