A little off subject but:

Do you measure a hole's size from its inside or its outside? :?:

I think the measurement to be concerned with is the GPM

Yes, but if the hole happens to penetrate a curved section of the hull, is it round or parabolic?

How do you calculate GPM? It might be fairly easy to establish the initial flow but would it progress as the boat began to fill and the hole went further below the water line or would it remain constant because of the water on the inside?

Most of this is pretty standard stuff but when the water level reaches the engine, it might cross over to become a metric problem.

I think I have 7 below the water line and 6 above Which comes out to 13. The 7 below, sound pretty good but 13 in total just can't be good, Steve.

Steve,

I use a water meter. Mine is a metric meter. My metric meter came with assorted attachments for measuring odd holes and it can even measure even holes evenly. What will they think of next?

We desperately need spring. :D

You guys got me all confused. I thought a boat was a hole in the water you poured money into. Do I count that as 1??? Here I thought I was safe...
