WTB - CD25-28

Post by whitejw1967 »

I am finally in the market for a keel boat and am seeking a CD25 (1980+) to a CD28. My budget is modest (max $10K) and would ideally like to find something in the southeast. Limiting I know, but there can't be a better place to look than this site!

I'd also consider a similarly sized Alberg-type boat (Pearson Triton, Bristol 29, Cheoy Lee).

Thanks for any help you can give.

Best,

John

Thanks Pete. I've been scouring Sailboatlistings, Yachtworld, Sailing Texas, and even Search Tempest. There are a few CD25s I like but they are in the northeast and too far for me to check out any time soon. But I will keep looking.

Warmest regards to you and the CDSOA folk!

Hi Randy! I hope you are doing well.

No luck so far. I was really excited to check out a CD25D this weekend in SC but the owner seems to have changed her mind about selling. A nice guy in west Florida is looking to sell his CD27, but I'm not sure my budget can afford it. I might check out a CD28 in south Florida in a week or two but it too would be a stretch of my budget.

I'd have tons of options if I had $20K+ but on a teacher's salary it isn't easy!

John,

There's a CD-26 in New Bern, NC that might interest you. It's listed with Neptune Yacht Sales.

Good luck!

John, have you checked out the CD27 in Panama City for 6900? might be worth a drive...

Seriously considering a CD28 that I really like. Just trying to work out the details so that it stays within my price range. It needs bottom paint, a new foresail, and I'll need a way to transport it the 250 miles to my home in Jacksonville, FL. Keep your fingers crossed!

Howdy ya'll, I'm new to this board but not to sailboats. I recently bought a 1982 CD25 in Cocoa, Fl and have yet to visit her due to an illness. This brings me to this. I'm gonna hafta sale her. I don't have a lot of particulars but she is in fair to good shape with good sails, roller furling jib, vhf, d/f etc. She will need a motor and bottom job. The gentleman I bought her from is willing to show her with ample notice. Anyone interested please let me know by pm. The price is very reasonable (2500.00) Thanks

Don't forget the slightly smaller Pearson Ariel and Commanders. (LOA: 25'6") Great boats! You can most assuredly get into a decent one in your price range.
