Wanted: Trailer for CD25D

I am looking for a CD25D with a trailer in the Great Lakes area, but there are more boats out there without trailers than with, so if you have a trailer for a CD25D, I would be interested in buying it. I would prefer a trailer set up for "float off" launching versus "lift off".

Your best bet is to call Triad Trailers, or some other manufacturer. It will be expensive, but you get what you pay for. It is unlikely someone would have a trailer for a 25D without the boat being included, in my opinion. There are not too many trailers for the 25D out there. When I was trying to sell my 25 (not the 25D) I received requests to buy just the trailer.

Triad wants about $7500 for a new float off trailer, that is a bit rich for my blood...

The float off special at Triad for the 25D is about $6,000 plus any options. If I recall the storage trailer from Triad, not the float off, is in the neighborhood of $4,000. If there is someone who builds a better trailer for less I would certainly like to know who and their cost for a comparable trailer. One nice thing about Triad is that they have made trailers for the 25D so you can call them and they will build it without seeing the boat. It would not seem prudent to haul your boat down the road at highway speeds on a trailer not really up to the task. Just for the record I have no affiliation with Triad other than as an admirer of their trailers.

Do you know the rating on the axels at that price?

For the special float off model, the axels are rated at 3,750 each. The trailer has a carrying capacity of 6,100 pounds. When I spoke to them about increasing the axel capacity I was assured it would be overkill for the boat. It is a really nice trailer.

Not sure on the details for the storage trailer.

My quote from Triad, in August of 2013, for the special float off trailer for the 25D is $6,000, plus any options. It was quoted just under $6,500 with options as follows: led brake lights, spare tire and mount, upgrade to corrosion resistant 4 wheel disc brakes, and straps to secure the boat to the trailer. Perhaps there has been an increase in the price. It is expensive.
