Typhoon boom to short

Typhoon boom to short
Today, when trying my new main sail, I found out that my boom on my Typhoon Weekender was only 8'4", not 8' 9" as it should be. I will be replacing the boom, so I no longer need the short boom. I have removed the end fittings but a cost of zero is tough to beat. Now if you have a Typhoon Daysailer, it may do you some good, that is if your boom is too short also, or yours is broken. Since I will soon not need the boom, it can be yours. You will have to pick it up or pay for shipping, but if you can use it, it is yours.
Re: Typhoon boom to short
Last week, I found out that my Typhoon Weekender boom was short, I ordered a new one early Monday morning, this week, from Dwyer Aluminum Mast Company. This afternoon, Thursday, the UPS man brought me my shinny new boom. The cost was very reasonable and 4 day delivery incredible. I went straight to my boat and installed it along with my new Ullman main sail. Ullman Sails in Deltaville had the sail in stock and was ready the day I ordered it. The new main and boom look great. I really want to complement Dwyer and Ullman of Deltaville, they both are examples of shops that do a fantastic job day in and day out. With this kind of unbelievable service, normal service will seem sub standard in the future.
