From the way you've described the package, your price is too low! I would be up around $4900, or even higher, for a package that included a solid trailer, a late-model outboard, and a roller furling jib. I've looked at lots of Typhoons and the ones that come with these amenities regularly price out at around $7,000. Considering your location, cosmetic condition, and need to sell quickly, you would be well served at around $5,000. I just paid $3600 for a 77 Typhoon that needs a LOT of cleaning up (she had been sitting for 10 years). The boat has a very nice Triad trailer, but I decided to spend $200 on new tires because I didn't trust the old ones on the highway. I also spent $150 installing new seacocks, so I'm already up to $4000 spent invested in my boat, and I don't have an outboard or a roller! I kind of wish I had come across your boat instead.

Anyway, just a few thoughts for your consideration. Sounds like someone will get a great deal.

Brett:

Small world. I was raised in Pittsfield. Did you sail your Ty Weekender on one of the lakes - Pontoosac or Onota :?:

These days I often think of returning to the land of my youth. It was a more gentle, peaceful, carefree time and place. I worked as a lifeguard at the YMCA facility on Pontoosac Lake. The last time I visited (it was Dec several years ago) it looked like the YMCA facility had been abandoned. A shame. I have some great memories of Friday/Saturday nights with my best girl at parties on the lake. :)

For what little it may be worth, I agree with Chris' thoughts although I get the sense that you need to sell ASAP. If so, with that price, someone is going to get a sweet deal.

Thanks for posting. Your mention of Pittsfield brought back some very fond memories.
Fair winds,

Born and breed. My Dad and I used to go ice fishing on Stockbridge Bowl (when the pike were not biting at Pontoosac Lake). :) Tip ups, warm chocolate milk, cold bologna sandwiches and talking about the mysteries of girls. :D The life :!:

Brett, that is a very pretty Ty Weekender. She should go to a new home/caretaker quickly, especially at your selling price.
