Hello,
I recently purchased a 1985 Cape Dory 30' Cutter and I am thinking about removing the staysail boom as this seems to be a modification that several here appreciate after they have done it. Does anyone have any pictures of how they arranged the additional hardware (sheet track, winches, cleats, etc.) for the sheets running back to the cockpit? Also, did you make any modifications to the location of the existing hardware for the yankee jib?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Staysail Boom
Yes, I saw the above post and that is where I understood that some people have advocated for getting rid of the staysail boom (at lease on some of the larger Cape Dorys). What I am looking for is a bit more detail on exactly how they did it, hardware wise, whether in pictures or by description. I haven't found this information by a search of the archives.
