CD25 Deck cracking by mast step???

I am looking at a 1976 CD25 which has deep cracks at the edges of the top of the doghouse where the sides meet the top. They run from the front corner back to where the doghouse widens out abrptly. As conicidence has it this would be the load carrying area for the mast. What is the repair for this? Or is this a common problem with the design, which can be ignored.
