Have any 25D owners ever looked at putting a hawse pipe in the anchor locker in order to gain access to the area forward of the hanging locker and under the anchor locker?

I understand that the hawse pipe could create an issue if water were to access the the locker.

Our 25d has a hawse pipe in the anchor locker lid. But to put on in the floor of the anchor locker would allow any water that gets in the locker to run to the bilge instead of out the forward drain hole. How much room do you suppose is under the locker? The same bulkhead that is the rear of the hanging locker is the rear of the chain locker. It runs down to the liner in both areas. Are you thinking or talking about what might be between the liner and the hull?

Randy I'm curious to know what is in that space forward of the hanging locker bulkhead and under the "floor" of the anchor. Or maybe more appropriately how much room is there.

I'm not cutting yet to be sure. I'm just curious.

Too much time on my hands at work this afternoon so I went back through old posts and found this one. Barfwinkle did you ever find out what is in there? I had exactly the same thought and am still curious. I did find out that the aft bulkhead is probably a collision bulkhead as required by IOR rules so I decided to leave that space alone.

I also saw a post from another 25D owner who was thinking of doing what you are proposing but to the hanging locker, using that as a chain locker instead. It might be one for me later, have a long list already on my recently purchased 25D.
