Classic Alberg design in excellent condition. Cuddy cabin 19 foot Cape Dory Typhoon's full keel has 900 lbs. of molded-in ballast giving her the feel of a larger boat, with the steadiness and stability not found in most sailboat designs. She has a deep, roomy, six-foot long cockpit that is self-bailing. You sit in her, not on her. There's ample dry storage space in a forepeak locker. The Typhoon is the perfect boat for learning the fundamentals and does what you want, smoothly and predictably with stability. Below decks, the cuddy cabin contains a double forward V-berth and 2 quarter berths. There is a "never been used" porta-potty that comes with the boat. There is plenty of room for a portable ice chest and stove, plus a surprising amount of storage space. She's a great boat for over night and weekend cruising with mainsail (with cover) and jib in good condition. The Typhoon has generous exterior and interior teak coamings, shelves, and trim giving her a radiate warmth and beauty typical to all the Cape Dory yachts. Boat comes with a single axle trailer (approximately a $3k upgrade) that is in excellent condition and recently made a trip from Cape Cod to Maine, and then Maine to Rhode Island (~500 miles round trip). The teak is in good shape but would look even better refinished. Also includes a 2.5?HP 2-stroke outboard motor and an anchor as well as a mast support post for inside the cabin. This Typhoon is a joy to sail for beginner and expert alike. It has a 2'7" draft. Boat is sitting shrink wrapped on trailer in Warwick RI.
Asking $6500.
