A customer notified us that a message had been posted on this board saying our website was not a secure site. We do, in fact, provide a secure site for our customers to use their credit cards to pay the shipping and handling fee for their free jibs and main sail covers. Thanks very much to Webmaster Walt for granting us permission to post this correction.

Dear Andy,
I would like to confirm that I did state that your site "was not a secure site." I have not
revisited your site since my one and only visit. I can only express my regret for not being more
careful in my choice of words. My actual intention was to warn e customers about sites which
are not secure socket links. Since I did not gather your VeroSign certificate, I apparently
made an incorrect assumption, for this I apologize. I hope that this is an acceptable public
reply. Please respond directly to me at john.lesage@snet.net or cdtyphoon@snet.net.

John, just to be clear - I looked at this site (using Internet Explorer 5) and the main page is not secure. But when I clicked the order form link, that page was secure. Right clicking on that page and checking the properties, it does have Secure Socket Layer 2.0 security with 128 bit encryption and a VeriSign/RSA Secure Server certificate.

So unless I'm missing something, it's secure.

Regards,

Walt

Re: Real sails!

Check with the Catalina 25 site ( on Trailer Sailer web page) there are a number of folks that have info on the free sails, and one that even received a jib (and a tiller cover thrown in) for the price of shipping!
