CD27 Jib Inventory

Post by Russ Cooper »

My CD27 came used with a 150% genoa and ~75% working jib, nothing else. I'm looking to fill the gap with a 110% or 100% jib. I'm curious if anyone knows what was standard with the boat when new. Owner's manual sail plan suggests a 100% was the norm. Also, if anyone can provide insights/experience on running sheets for a jib this size to inner vs. outer fairleads. Thanks.

I have a '78 CD 27 and I have a roller furler on it. I have a working jib with hanks that I would like to sell. Located on Long Island, NY. If you want, I can measure the sail, fax you a copy of the sail plan from the owner's manual or provide you with any info that you may need. The boat originally came with a main and a jib with a total sail area of 365 square feet. I can fax or mail a copy of the sail plan for your info. The jib with a 100% foretriangle had a sail area of 190 square feet and the main was 175 square feet. The jib's measurements are 31'luff, 10'8" foot but I don't know the leech. Hope that this helps.
