Nu Teak Installation
Has anyone tried installing the material know as Nu Teak? It is a synthetic material that looks like teak and can be glued to fiberglass. I would appreciate any comments on the material and installation process. Thanks

If you are thinking about teak decks, have you seen some of the cork decking?

I have not installed it myself, but I have seen the stuff. It really pretty neat stuff, decent nonskid, seems like it would hold up well, but very expensive. Not sure if I would like how it would look on a CD though for exterior I just cant picture a CD with faux teak decks. I did consider it as a solution for my new cabin sole though but decided next to all the real wood it just would look too fake/plasticy.
Installation seems like it would be very easy and straitforward, but no personal experience.

Same as Russell
Like Russell, I've seen Nu-Teak -- I actually had a small sample on my desk for a while when I worked for a now-defunct boating magazine. The local dealer sent me a sample, and I was very interested in using it as a possible cabin sole--until I learned the price.
It is supposed to be very easy to install, but I can't really recall the procedure.
Keep us posted if you do decide to use it.
